Testimonies from Students and Parents
The tutors of  final year LLB 2007 at MENTARI SCHOOL OF LAW 每 Mr E.L Tan, Miss Sharon and Mr Jason was never afraid to help the students in unconventional ways, even if it could be misinterpreted or critized. A later check upon reaching home, I find that it was all in the UOL syllabus. The law tutors was actually making us THINK. The teaching method not only to convey information but challenge one to deeply examine one*s own weaknesses. The conducive environment and the good judgment of the tutors helped a lot. What is amazing is the education I received from MENTARI in class was not large in quantity but in quality. The reading materials were later given to us and are all updated and current. This ultimately made me read and slowly I went on and on to refer to books, internet and all available text at Mentari Library.  My experience at Mentari School of Law, The tutors are dedicated and I have indeed overcome the paralyzing grip of inner fear of failing. My advice to those people who are frequently frustrated with SO MUCH to read. Forget about certificate chasing. Spend some quality time with Mentari
tutors and you can be sure of SUCCESS.- Debbie.
I had the privilege of reading law under the guidance of Mr EL Tan during all three years of my undergraduate studies. One thing that I truly appreciate off him was his dedication towards his students. On one occasion while preparing for my Criminal Law paper in my first year of exams, I received an unexpected call from Mr. Tan who called just to express his concern over my interpretation of the notion of &recklessness* after reading one of my last minute assignments. It was a norm for him to give out even his mobile number for students to contact him. To him, his students is a priority, and as a student myself, I must say that it was the most soothing feeling to have a lecturer who is always there and willing to attend to your concerns. His love for the subject of Law as an academic is truly encouraging and when coupled with the wealth of experience of both a career as a practicing lawyer and lecturer surely places him at the helm of the elite of academics of the University of London LLB programme.  It is undoubtedly true that Mr. Tan has been instrumental in my pursuit of my ambition to be a lawyer. I am sure he will
continue to impact the lives of aspiring law graduates as he has been doing for many years to
come. - Anilraj Verdamanickam
I would like to thank MENTARI for providing me an affordable and solid education. Its location at the heart of the city makes it easily accessible and convenient. With its comprehensive lectures and tutorials coupled with a team of helpful and friendly lecturers, I manage to have a better grasp and understanding of the subject matter. I*m glad to be a part of MENTARI as I*ve gained a lot from the teaching methods of the committed and dedicated lecturers. -April Wong Chooi Li
If there is one day in my life which I would not regret, it would be the day I placed my right foot into the threshold of Mentari School of Law. And you would think I would say that it has changed my life. But it has not. That*s too much of a melodrama, is it not? Instead, it has shown me the path so complicatedly obscured from my contemplations. It has taught me about the values in life, which I took no significance of in prior days. It has taught me about commitment, dedication and most importantly, integrity. I would not exaggerate of its grandeur, but it has a most fulfilling experience to study in Mentari. A most fulfilling one indeed. - Tjun
I came to Mentari with high expectations and they were all met to my satisfaction. Tributes to Mr. EL Tan, Ms Sanjeetha, Mr. Jason, Ms Sharon and the other lectures. I am positive that Mentari will certainly burgeon and become the best place for one to pursue legal studies. - Lee Boon Koon
I'm very happy to be a part of this Mentari family and I know besides all of u, I can neither go nor find some other place which can give me such warmth, hospitality, support, encouragement and guidance. The lecturers are diligent and devoted. They are not merely my lecturers, but my friends as well. Thanks again for everything. Do keep in mind  I will never forget those sweet memories all of us has shared and I*ll bury them deep down in my heart always. Whatever said and done, I will always be a part of this family- Carmen, Kayi
Everyone has asked me the same question, why I choose Mentari School of Law? My answer is simple. It is because I love law and the lecturers and tutors have given me full confidence that I can do better than what I expected. It is not an ordinary institution that provides education. In Mentari, I can find a clean and good environment for studies. 每 Tan Shiau Voon
※From a delinquent failure to fulfilling my dreams in qualifying as a Barrister at Middle Temple, gaining a decent second upper and LLM along the way, Mr EL Tan had always been a mentor figure throughout More than just a teacher, he had been my respected mentor who pluck me from the depth of my despair during failure and guide and lead me to the right path. The one who encouraged and guided me to take the leap of faith when I undertook to self study European Union Law as part of the requirement to fulfil in enrolling for the Bar Vocational Course, he was always the first to cheer me up and lift me when things turns sour and the first to rejoice with me when I taste success. Unlike a lot of lecturer who only had time for the top of the class students, Mr Tan always had time for anyone who wants to seek his advice, regardless of the potential of the student.
I remember spending endless hours in the company of Mr Tan pre-exams, for guidance and encouragement. The dedication of this educator is second to none, there were nights when he stayed back unconditionally to give advice to students in his office when all the others have left and such ※extra tuition§ to anyone who sought had benefited many, I being one of them.
You may think that you are a minnow in the lands of the giant, but rest assured, regardless of the potential you think you have, the dedication and knowledge of Mr Tan can have an alchemic effect to anyone who had the faith in his methods.
I would like to take this opportunity to record my heartiest congratulations to Mr Tan in the formation of Mentari School of Law. I believe whole heartedly that with such a dedicated educator such as Mr Tan, backed by a team of equally capable and dedicated team of lecturers, Mentari School of Law will be a success story.§- Andrew Heng
It is an unexpected miracle that has happened to me to obtain Second Upper!  All thanks to Mentari and especially to you for your wonderful teaching in Jurisprudence.  I would have probably ended up with a third class if i hadn't made a right choice to come to Mentari. Thank you so much! Carmen Ng.
I am most happy to have enrolled my daughter into Mentari. As I had expected, she has passed with good grades, making me a proud father. The main factor that impressed me is the competence and commitment of the lecturers who take extra pains to ensure the success of each student. I am most happy and satisfied to have made the right choice by selecting this educational institutional. It has shaped my child*s future. - Mr. A. Manisegaran- Proud parent of  Archana Manisegaran
